Comments: Reinspect in one week for hand-sink repair/replacement. Facility had lost power during Tuesday's significant storm. Per staff, power had been out between approx. 4:15 pm May 15 through 7:00 pm May 16, approx. 27 hours. Following the power loss, facility had moved all potentially hazardous foods to walk-in cooler located in basement in hopes of salvaging food, contingent upon how long the power was going to be out. During today's inspection, facility was in the evaluation stage, assessing their losses of food, and in the process of voluntarily discarding unopened packages of ground beef, pre-packaged steaks, raw shrimp, and previously cooked containers of beef chili, and some potentially hazardous home-made sauces. Facility's freezers were all functioning properly and foods within were not at risk for hazardous bacterial growth. Discussed foods to be discarded with kitchen staff.
